very nice laptop, everything you need

this laptop is very fast and the screen is just beautiful with 17.3 in diagonal, not very portable due to big size, but this is nothing compared to all the hardware you get with this machine, i was surprised by powerful speakers this computer has, everything i was looking for is packed into this computer!!

Do Not Buy!

I had to send in this computer to Toshiba for repairs after using it for 9 months. It would spontaneously shut down and not restart. It worked for a day or two after coming back from repairs, then did the same thing again. I sent it in for repairs again but when I got it back several weeks later, it still didn't work. Same problem, even though they had replaced many of the major parts. Toshiba offered to send me a replacement -- the same model but with a bigger hard drive, more RAM, improved graphics, faster processor, but refurbished, not new. I agreed, hoping for the best. But no luck with that one either. Within one day, it died. Battery won't charge and no life in it at all, even plugged in. Going on 2 months now without a working laptop. Stay away from this model!

i bought this laptop for my daughter SHE LOVES it BUT and this is a bIG BUT the screen has gone white twice. the first screen was half white so we had computer techs look at it. they said it happens we just needed a new screen so we bought a new replacement screen. less then(6)months later the new screen has gone completely white.it can be hooked up to another computer, laptop or TV screen but for the price that seems ridiculous! we are about to purchase a third screen. i dont even think the laptop is a year old yet!!!!! BEWARE
