Great desktop replacement

Received mine from microsoft store at the beginning of November and am very pleased. Everything works fine. I am extremely happy with the battery life as well as the speed of the processor. System start up is lightning fast. The light up keyboard is great and the machine runs pretty quiet and stays cool. The system was clean and no bloatware, which is great for me.The speakers are rather nice for a laptop. While the built-in speakers will never match a good system, the sound is adjustable with the beats audio software and is quite loud through the 6 speakers. I was struggled with watching movies on my previous laptop because I could never hear the sound even at the max level. This laptop does not have that problem at all!I like the touchpad, which is unusual for me. It operates multi-touch kind of like an I-pad or I-pod. You can also turn it on or off directly through the touchpad by double-tapping in the corner of it. The screen is glossy and the colors are vivid thanks to the glossiness. However, this also means it reflects like crazy. But, this being a 17" laptop and not that portable--for me anyway, I don't really see this as an issue as it probably won't be leaving home. Another nice thing I like is the keyboard function key locks so you don't have to hold down the function key when using a function button. Also, love the num pad. Defective Laptop

Nice looking machine ,works OK for 3 weeks,but now powers off for no reason and then locked up with no way to reboot except by performing a "hard reset".Am sending it back to HP.

I bought 2 computers. One was fine, the other didn't want to start up. It also had an error message each time it was shut down and restarted.The second computer was returned.
