SONY VAIO VPCEG21FX Notebook

The Laptop ran good for 32 days the the hard drive had failures when tested with the SONY Hardware tests. Sony was going to send me another hard drive with the recovery discs to set it up the way I got it from day one. This was cool, until then they changed their mind and wanted me to take it to a SONY store which was no where close to where I live. I finally talked to a rep who said they would send me the recovery discs since I was going to buy another hard drive and do it myself. What the hell? So much for SONY and their one year warranty! Hard Drive cost me $71, still waiting for the recovery discs promised from SONY. So beware when you purchase a SONY Product! You have to have the recovery discs to reinstall anything on this new laptop because there is way too many new features on it that you can only get it set up with sony's discs. Still waiting for the discs. As for Amazon, this is the second item I got from Amazon and both had problems.

Sleek and Light

I bought this laptop for my father. He loved the light weight system and sleek design. Fast delivery, adequate performance, and decent price. I would purchase another Vaio for design and consistency in performance.

I don't normally leave reviews but I am extremely happy with my new laptop so I felt it was deserved. This is the first new laptop I have had in years and it has completely over-performed my expectations. I use this for work so I usually have a lot of different windows open but this computer keeps up with my busy work. The screen is crystal clear as well. A great sleeve I found for it is Palmetto State Laptop Sleeve 14 inch Neoprene Surf Art Style. This is extremely stylish and has plenty of storage. Everybody at the office has been noticing it and complimenting me on it. Why have a boring sleeve when I can have one with this artwork on it.
