Went from die-hard Lenovo fans to dissappointed

My husband is a computer-guy and a big fan of Lenovo. His own Thinkpad is several years old and still going strong. So we were excited to replace our old family computer with this Ideapad for me.Pros: I liked the fingerprint-free cover. Hubby thought is looked a little feminine because it is tinted purplish.Comfy keyboard, fast speed.Cons: The included quick-boot feature took us in circles of restarting over and over. My husband's coworker at their IT business was fixing someone else's Ideapad with the same problem. We uninstalled that program and wondered how something with that big of a bug was included.*** Hard drive crashed one week after arrival. Returned and ordered another.*** Hard drive crashed several days arrival of the second one!With two attempts, both with a faulty hard drive, we're sadly moving on and looking for alternatives. Unfortunately all the pictures and videos I'd uploaded on each one are gone forever. :-(Working with Lenovo customer service: Being on hold for hours, speaking to someone who didn't sound American. They said they were emailing a return shipping label but didn't. Called 4 times before they actually emailed said label. By that time we had given up and contacted Amazon about returning.Returning through Amazon was AMAZING! We were able to chat instead of calling and being on hold. They immediately sent the shipping label, BOTH times. So that's good.Until Lenovo uses another manufacturer for their hard drives, we're staying away from the IdeaPad Z580.

The Z580 dropped the wireless connection on my home network where no other computers had an issue. Had two conversations with tech support where the final state of the wireless card could not be recovered and we had to restore to the default software install.
