5Love my new computer!
By Dena Bruce
I've had my computer for about a month, and I love it. About a week after I got the computer I went to turn it on and it said something like "no boot device available". After going through trouble-shooting checklist from the HP website I got to a place where it said "hard disk not exist", which was not a little alarming. I freaked out for a while, and then I called tech support. I was answered by a very polite, pleasant and helpful guy. To my surprise, he immediately accepted my statement that "I've run through the trouble-shooting checklist. This is what it said." Without making me go through the checklist AGAIN, he talked me through opening up the computer and unplugging and re-plugging the hard drive into the motherboard. (I should mention that I am not any kind of computer expert. I have no idea if I said that right. I had no idea what I was doing, and the tech support guy had to wait a REALLY long time for me to find an appropriate screwdriver, and then had to patiently hold my hand while I feared I was going to destroy my new computer...) In half an hour (most of which was spent on the afore-mentioned screwdriver hunt) I once again had a functional, darling and very speedy computer.About a week after I got this computer, my mom got one just like mine, but with the i7 rather than the i5. I tried hers out, horribly afraid that it would be way better and I'd be sorry I took the middle road. I honestly didn't notice much difference. I don't do any really heavy-duty gaming, but with several screens running facebook games at once my computer seemed about the same as my mom's.In short, I am a very happy customer and would highly recommend this little guy!

4upgrade
By dazyluvr
Bought this as an upgrade from my 7 year old HP pavilion dv6000. This one was the best price for the largest amount of memory and hard drive space and I didn't want to fool with any Windows 8 hassles so I was looking for a new computer that still had Windows 7. I use my computer for ordinary internet, email, word documents and spreadsheets, and photographs so this model works fine for me.

4Excellent Laptop
By Martin
This is a great laptop..especially for the money. Plenty of features and speed. Exactly what you'd expect from HP. Case is slick, thin and the display is killer. Highly recommend.
